Since the plot lays right across the street from the Russian-orthodox church, which is the most important landmark in Chilia Veche and a historical monument, the buildings keep a humble profile.
The use of locally-sourced materials and local labor not only supports the economy but also provides a sense of authenticity to the design. The use of a specific architectural language indigenous to the area further strengthens the cultural identity of the complex.
The proposed typologies of construction, including a main building for hospitality services, accommodation buildings with guest rooms, and individual bungalows, provide a range of options for visitors. The bungalows, in particular, offer a unique and intimate experience, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the natural surroundings of the Delta.
Overall, this architectural project for a tourist complex in the Danube Delta prioritizes sustainability, cultural authenticity, and community, creating a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors while preserving the beauty and integrity of the natural environment.
