PENTHOUSE TERRACE

We present you with a penthouse terrace design that seamlessly merges with the natural world.

Designed as a garden surrounding the completely transparent exterior walls, this space not only offers wind protection, which is an issue for this 21st floor penthouse, but also showcases an array of hardy plants that withstand varying temperatures year-round. With a focus on ease of maintenance, an automatic irrigation system and a drainage setup keep the garden looking fresh without much hassle.

The key design choice was using modular metal planters, doubling the existing transparent metal railing. These planters come in three different heights and are placed according to the specific privacy needs of each area. Taller planters act as comfortable backrests for wooden benches, while smaller ones preserve the panoramic views for those inside.

The penthouse terrace is divided into three distinct areas, seamlessly extending the interior layout to create an expansive outdoor living space. The symmetrical smaller terrace areas feature a dining spot, a seating arrangement, and a jacuzzi. The larger terrace area includes an outdoor cooking area, a dining space with a bar, comfortable seating for reading or sunbathing, a jacuzzi, and a glass sauna.

The flooring is composed of separate wooden and terrazzo areas divided by pebble straps. This intentional design choice adds a touch of playfulness and sensory appeal to the space. Discreet in-ground lights illuminate the terrace in the evening, creating a cozy ambiance and highlighting the surrounding greenery.
